Srinivasa Ramanujan (22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920) was a self-taught Indian mathematician whose remarkable discoveries transformed modern mathematics. Despite having little formal training, he developed thousands of original mathematical formulas and theorems. His collaboration with G. H. Hardy at the University of Cambridge led to many groundbreaking contributions that continue to influence mathematics today.
