National Technology Day is observed every year on 11 May to celebrate India's achievements in science and technology and to recognize the contributions of scientists, engineers, and innovators. The day commemorates the successful Pokhran-II nuclear tests conducted on 11 May 1998, along with other major technological milestones achieved by India.
