Jagadish Chandra Bose (30 November 1858 – 23 November 1937) made pioneering contributions to wireless communication and demonstrated that plants respond to external stimuli such as light, heat, and touch. He invented the crescograph, an instrument that measures the growth of plants with great precision. His research laid the foundation for modern plant physiology and radio science.
